PlayNetwork, a leading provider of integrated media experiences for businesses. From 1999 to 2003, PlayNetwork's revenues grew to $13.9 million, or a total of 692 percent. PlayNetwork Emerging Competitive Landscape

DMX
DMX gives the sights, sounds, and scents of your business a twist. The company provides what it calls "sensory branding" through the distribution of commercial-free music, video, on-air and on-hold messages, and environmental fragrances to companies around the globe. Clients include retailers, hotels, health clubs, resorts, and casinos such as Gold's Gym, The Cheesecake Factory, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Disney World. DMX has license agreements with more than 1,700 record labels. The company also provides music for cable television networks. DMX was founded in 1971, and is owned by private investment firm THP Capstar.

MediaNet Communications
MediaNet Communications is a leading post-production company in Canada that serves primarily television producers and advertising agencies. It offers fully-equipped digital video editing studios for creating TV shows, advertisements, and other video content, as well as and recording studios for radio ads, voice-overs and post-production audio, and other audio recording needs. In addition to commercial clients, MediaNet Communications serves many non-profit groups.

Muzak Holdings
The hills are alive with the sound of Muzak. Once the king of canned music, the company is working to transform its image. Muzak, famous for its instrumental versions of pop tunes, has turned its focus away from the elevator rider and toward the consumer as it pumps original songs (with lyrics) into retail stores, restaurants, and bars, as well as hotels, offices, and factories, through its Audio Architecture unit. Its music is heard by some 100 million people daily. The company's Voice unit provides music and marketing for telephone on-hold and in-store messaging. TSC Music provides the electronic hardware (plasma TVs, CD and DVD players, and interactive kiosks) as well as the song catalog. Clients include Adidas, Krispy Kreme, and McDonald's. The company, which operates throughout the UK, installs audio and visual equipment made by partners PlayNetwork and Bose. Chairman Neal Abdool founded the family-controlled company in 1975.

Crows Nest Entertainment provides audio and video systems integration for commercial establishments across the USA. The company has offices in Spokane, Bellevue & Redmond, Washington and San Francisco, California. PlayNetwork completed the merger with Seattle-based Crows Nest Entertainment Inc. a leading digital signage and systems integration company. The merger provided PlayNetwork with exciting new service capabilities namely technology and creative solutions for in-store digital video networks and related advertising sales services. This was the first of many strategic moves for PlayNetwork that will further position the company for significant growth opportunities through 2008.
