Austin, TX (ZPRYME NEWS) – 05/01/08 - Thailand banned the using of cell phones while on flight, now it is contemplating about lifting the ban. The ban of cell phones was part of Thailand’s safety regulations but due to recent events and studies, the ban could be lifted. TrendNews quoting what the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) deputy-general Wuthichai Singhamanee told Bangkok Post, “The use of mobile phones on planes may soon be a possibility.”

Austin, TX (ZPRYME NEWS) – 04/15/08 - Thailand used to block websites that the government thought were dangerous or controversial for public consumption. According to Jurist Legal News and Research, “The government of Thailand announced Tuesday it was abandoning a law that allowed the cabinet to censor political or controversial Internet sites based solely on the Minister of Communication's discretion.” This does not mean that it abandoned its policy of censorship, websites will still be blocked but there needs to be a court order.
